Volleyball: Five Things About Kallie Seimet

Bowling Green, Ohio – BGSU's Kallie Seimet moved into the libero position in the first weekend of play for the Falcons in 2015 and did not look back, etching her name in the BGSU volleyball single season record book for digs and digs per set as a true freshman.
Seimet, who played in all 29 matches and all 112 sets on the season as a true freshman last season, led BGSU and ranked eighth in the MAC with an average of 4.38 digs per set on the year. She also had a team-high 491 digs overall on the season, including 317 digs in MAC play.
The Oregon, Ohio native finished the year ranked eighth overall in BGSU's single season record books in digs per season with 491 and sixth in digs per set in BGSU's single season history at 4.38 per set.
In her first year as a Falcon last year, she tallied double digit digs in 25 of 29 matches on the seasons and recorded 20 digs or more in eight different matches on the year. She posted a career-high 34 digs in a win at home over Kent State, totaled 28 digs at home against Buffalo and turned in 27 kills in the road win at Akron. Seimet also registered a service reception percentage of .953 overall on the year.

The Falcons will have a total of 15 home matches in 2016, the most that BGSU has had in a single season since 2005. BGSU will open up the year with back-to-back weekend home tournaments in the Hampton Inn Invitational on Aug. 26-27 and the BGSU Invitational on Sept. 2-3.

- I have never broken a bone (knock on wood).
