Volleyball: Five Things About Delaney Arkeilpane

Bowling Green, Ohio – BGSU's Delaney Arkeilpane, a rising senior defensive specialist for the Falcons, will be looked upon for leadership in 2016 as one of the four seniors on the roster.
Named to the 2015 Academic All-MAC Team, Arkeilpane played in 27 matches for the Falcons in 2015, seeing time in 103 sets on the year on the defensive backline. She recorded a total of 138 digs, an average of 1.34 per set, and 34 set assists on the season. Arkeilpane had five digs or more 13 times on the year, including a season-high 12 digs in the five set win at home versus Akron.
The Florida native posted a perfect 1.000 serve receive percentage in 10 matches and filled in at setter in the regular season finale to pass out a career-high 12 assists versus Northern Illinois.

The Falcons will have a total of 15 home matches in 2016, the most that BGSU has had in a single season since 2005. BGSU will open up the year with back-to-back weekend home tournaments in the Hampton Inn Invitational on Aug. 26-27 and the BGSU Invitational on Sept. 2-3.
