The Falcons opened the outdoor season on March 17 at the Blizzard Buster, hosted in Oxford, Ohio, by Miami (OH). Zaresha Neal won the shot put and discus, ranking first in the MAC in both events. For her efforts, she was named MAC Field Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this season and sixth time in her career. Also seeing success was Mateya Haintz, who won the hammer in her first time competing as a Falcon. Reagan Emberton (4th, shot put), Katherine Mendenhall (4th, javelin, PR), and Jenna Lucas (5th, javelin) also added top-five finishes in throwing events. Lucas was one of seven freshmen to make her outdoor collegiate debut, a group that included DaMya Barker and Ashley Kisor, who ran identical times of 1:00.71 to tie for seventh in the 400. Senior Katerina Shuble ran unattached and won the 800.
At last year's Oliver Nikoloff Invitational, the BGSU shot put group placed three in the top five. Zaresha Neal won the event, with Ebonie Whitted (3rd) and Reagan Emberton (5th) backing her. Neal also won the discus with a PR, an event that featured a 10th-place finish from Emberton. Tianna Mulligan placed fifth in the 200 and ninth in the 400, with her 400 time marking a PR. Darian Braddix also notched a PR in the 100. Also adding top-10 finishes for BGSU were Alexis Parchman (8th, 200) and Elise Johnson (9th, 3K Steeplechase)
