Bowling Green State University Athletics
Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Bowling Green State University strives to be the primary link between the student-athlete population and the athletic administration in order to enhance the experience of all student-athletes. As a leadership group, SAAC is dedicated to addressing the concerns of the student-athlete population, providing programs and events for student-athlete development and growth, encouraging the support of fellow Falcon student-athletes, and getting BGSU Athletics involved in both campus and community activities.
BGSU SAAC consists of representatives from all 18 varsity sports and meets twice a month to discuss current issues and topics which impact student-athletes.
The purpose of SAAC is to:
- To develop a leadership group that encourages unity and camaraderie between teams and among all student-athletes.
- To organize campus/community service efforts in order to bring Bowling Green State University core values to the community.
- To encourage the BGSU student body to support athletic events on campus.
- To gain student-athlete perspective on issues in athletics.
The membership of SAAC includes:
- Two representatives from each team will be appointed by their coach to represent their team.
- Any eligible varsity student-athlete may be eligible to run for officer.
- Each active member will hold a term of at least one academic year.
- Any student-athlete with remaining eligibility is allowed to serve on the committee.
