Breaking Down Bowling Green
The Falcons enter the outdoor season after a very successful indoor campaign that saw the team finish third in the MAC Championship, the program's best finish since 1999. Zaresha Neal (shot put), Brianna Richard (triple jump), and the distance medley relay team of Kailee Perry, Darian Braddix, Izzy Best, and Katerina Shuble all earned first team All-MAC honors. Shuble (mile) and Katherine Mendenhall (high jump) each made the All-MAC second-team. Perry (mile), Richard (long jump), Morgan Patterson (long jump), Jemeila Hunter (200), Bianca Staples (high jump), Mateya Haintz (weight throw), Jenna Lucas (pentathlon), Reagan Emberton (shot put), and Ebonie Whitted (shot put) all finished top-eight to earn a spot on the podium and score team points.
BGSU has opened the outdoor season at the Blizzard Buster the last two seasons, winning the shot put each time. In 2022, Zaresha Neal won the event, one year after Ebonie Whitted took the crown. Last season, Reagan Emberton finished fourth in the discus, while Darian Braddix added fifth-place finishes in the 100 and 200.
