Tsadari And Karg Earn Singles Wins As Falcons Fall On Friday

PERRYSBURG, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons dropped their Friday (April 22) afternoon contest to the Miami (OH) RedHawks, 5-2. Ioanna Tsadari and Selina Karg won at the top two singles spots to pace the Orange and Brown. The RedHawks earned the doubles point to start the day, winning at No. 1 and No. 3. At the No. 2 spot, Ioanna Tsadari and Annika Vetter took a 6-3 victory after trailing 2-3. This marks the first win of the spring for the duo, who have been paired each of the last three matches.

Tsadari's success carried over to singles play, where she earned a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 1. With the win, the junior improves to 6-3 in MAC singles play, the best record on the team. Tsadari has 30 singles victories in her career, including 10 this spring. She also has 25 combined wins on the 2021-22 campaign, second-highest on the team.

Selina Karg secured a three-set victory at No. 2 singles, triumphing 6-3, 0-6, 6-2. The sophomore maintains her team lead in combined career wins (60), career singles wins (34), combined 2021-22 wins (32), combined 2022 MAC wins (10), and spring 2022 singles wins (12). Additionally, she is tied with Ioanna Tsadari for most singles wins this season (16).
