BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The BGSU tennis team has unveiled its fall schedule for the 2025-26 season. BGSU will play a combination of exhibitions, duals, and individual matchups as they prepare for the MAC Championships in the spring.
"We are super excited to get the fall competition season underway," said Head Coach Mike Bonnell. "We like the energy our group is showing and they will be chomping at the bit to beat some other teams."
The Falcons will open up play with an exhibition matchup at home over homecoming weekend (Sep.12-13). The following weekend (Sep. 19-21), the team will travel to Ypsilanti, Mich., for the Eastern Michigan Invitational, a tournament in which Tia Clemens enjoyed success last season, as she won three straight matches to finish first in her draw.
Sep. 26-27 will see the Falcons host the "BG Hidden Duals" tournament, featuring Butler, Findlay, and Wayne State.
"The MAC has changed the regular season format from a divisional system to a round robin in the spring," continued Bonnell. "So it frees up some dates for us to play a little deeper into the fall. We can't wait."
From Oct. 3-5, the Falcons will compete in the MAC Individuals, hosted by Western Michigan University. The following weekend, the Falcons will travel to Pennsylvania, where they will compete at Slippery Rock University on Saturday (Oct. 11) and Indiana University of Pennsylvania on Sunday (Oct. 12).
Over Oct. 16-21, Bowling Green will compete in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional Championships hosted by the University of Illinois in Urbana, Ill.
On Saturday, Oct. 25, the Falcons will close out their fall schedule at home, as they will host Grace College and Indiana University- East at 10 am and 2 pm respectively. Pending the Falcons qualification, the team could potentially earn an entry into the ITA Masters tournament, held in San Diego from Nov. 6-8.
