UP NEXT FOR THE FALCONS...
• The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team wraps up the non-conference schedule on Monday evening (Dec. 21), facing Davis & Elkins College. Head coach Robyn Fralick and the Falcons will meet the Senators in a 5:00 p.m. tipoff at the Stroh Center.
THE STARTING FIVE (FIVE SOMEWHAT FASCINATING FALCON FACTS)
• Monday's game marks the Falcons' first home contest in six weeks. BGSU, 3-0 at the Stroh Center this season, has not played inside the venue since Nov. 18.
• Last year, the Falcons faced the Senators on Dec. 30, with tipoff at 5:00 p.m. at the Stroh. BGSU entered that game with six wins on the season. This year, the Falcons have six wins, heading into a Dec. 30 matchup with Davis & Elkins. Tipoff once again is set for 5:00 p.m.
• BGSU is 12-1 in home non-conference games over the last three seasons.
• The Falcons host Davis & Elkins after playing eight-straight games away from home. That is BGSU's longest road stretch since the 1974-75 season.
• BGSU's five losses this season have come to teams with a combined record of 39-20 entering Monday's action. The latter two games – vs. Loyola Chicago and Purdue – have been single-digit setbacks to teams with a combined 19-4 mark.
A QUICK LOOK AT THE SENATORS
• Davis & Elkins is 2-8 on the season, and the Senators went 2-2 in the month of December (Monday's game is an exhibition for D&E). Most recently, the club posted a 75-70 road win over Urbana (Dec. 14).
• Jamiyah Johnson leads the Senators with 18.7 points and 14.0 rebounds per game. Four of her teammates are scoring between 8.2 and 9.8 ppg.
• Head coach Jason Asbell's team went 9-19 a year ago.
THE SERIES
• The Falcons lead Davis & Elkins, 2-0, in the all-time series, with both prior meetings coming at the Stroh Center. BG picked up a 73-46 win just over three years ago (Nov. 30, 2016), and the Falcons topped the Senators by a 63-28 count exactly one year prior to this season's meeting.
DOWN THE ROAD
• Following the D&E matchup, the Falcons will begin the Mid-American Conference schedule with a Saturday (Jan. 4) trip to Ypsilanti, Mich. The Falcons will face Eastern Michigan in a 2:30 p.m. start at the Convocation Center.
• Then, the Orange and Brown will play back-to-back home games, meeting Ball State (Wed., Jan. 8) and Akron (Sat., Jan. 11) at the Stroh Center.
