Three Falcons Score In 70’s Saturday At MAC Championships

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team showed clear improvement on Saturday (April 21) in the second round of play at the 2018 MAC Championships. The Falcons carded a team score of 314, jumping from 10th place to a tie for ninth.
After shooting a 328 yesterday, Bowling Green shaved 14 strokes off its team score on the day, led by three Falcons that registered scores in the 70's.
Erin Fahey (75), Jessica Madry (76) and Nichole Cox (79) led the Orange and Brown with strong days on the golf course. Bowling Green also received contributions from Sammi Blackburn (84) and Madelynn Swank (85).
Fahey led the group with two birdies, while Madry, Blackburn and Swank carded one birdie apiece. Cox's day was highlighted by a solid front nine of plus-two. Madry went plus-two on the front nine as well as the back nine, while Fahey birdied twice on the front nine to finish just one over on holes 1-9.
