September 08, 2025 | Women's Golf
NORMAL, Ill. – The BGSU women's golf team competed for the second weekend in a row on Sep. 7-8, as they headed to Normal, Ill. to play in the Redbird Invitational. Play concluded with the final round on Monday, Sep. 8. The Falcons finished fourth out of the 16 team field, shooting an 899 over three rounds of play.
The Falcons opened play strong, shooting a 293 and finishing the first round five over par. In the second round, the Falcons shot a 297 to put them at +14 over par following Sunday's action. On Monday, BG closed out the tournament shooting a 309 to finish at +33 over par and land the fourth spot overall.
"It was great to be back in contention this week. The team played really solid in the first two rounds to put us in position to make a run at it today." Said head coach Erin Fahey. "Unfortunately, we got off to a slow start this morning and weren't able to make up for it down the stretch. We have about two weeks until our next event which will allow us time to work on some things. Overall, I am pleased with our play the last two weeks, and it has been a solid start to the season."
