NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team opened up the 2018 MAC Championships by carding a team score of 328 on Friday (April 20). Bowling Green sits in 10th place after the first round of the 54-hole tournament.

Sammi Blackburn paced the Falcons on the day by carding an opening-round 80. Both Erin Fahey and Jessica Madry posted rounds of 82, while Nichole Cox and Madelynn Swank notched 18-hole scores of 84 apiece.

Kent State holds the 18-hole lead, as the Golden Flashes carded a 282 on the day. Kent State is six-under, with Toledo (+15) being the next closest school.
