EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Keith McLeod scored 33 points, hitting all 11 of his free throws and four 3-pointers, to lead Bowling Green to an 84-72 victory over Evansville on Saturday.
The Falcons (8-1) led 41-38 at the half, but the Purple Aces (2-6) took a one-point lead twice during the first six minutes of the second half.
After Josh Almanson hit two free throws at 14:09 to give Bowling Green a 49-48 lead, the Falcons made two layups and hit back-to-back 3-pointers during a 18-9 run to lead 67-57 with 6:31 left to play. The Purple Aces never came closer than within seven points for the rest of the game.
Erik Crawford added 11 points and Brandon Pardon had 10 for Bowling Green in its seventh consecutive win of the season.
Dan Lytle led Evansville with 24 points and six rebounds. Clint Cuffle added 13 and Adam Seitz had 11 for the Purple Aces.
