
BGSU Men’s Basketball Releases Non-Conference Slate To Complete 2025-26 Schedule

Falcons Set For Road Trips To Kansas State, Davidson
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball program has announced the non-conference portion of the 2025-26 schedule. With the additions, the schedule currently contains 31 games for the Falcons. In total, BGSU will host 17 contests while going on the road for 14 games. As for conference play, BGSU will host nine and travel for nine. The conference schedule was previously released on Aug. 21.
"Our non-conference schedule prepares us well to compete in the MAC this season," said head men's basketball coach Todd Simon. "We have high level challenges with Kansas State, Michigan State and Dayton along with the Fort Myers Classic in Florida to give us a neutral sight tournament test. We will travel to Davidson and our Sun Belt opponent for true road battles. We achieved scheduling more home dates which was a priority with MAC play moving into December. Our home slate is highlighted by 25-win WAC Champion Utah Valley, William & Mary and Texas State all coming to the Stroh Center. We are excited for the challenge of building this team and competing at a high level this season."
Before the start of the season, the Falcons will have two exhibitions, both of which will be on the road for BGSU. Bowling Green's first time on the floor will come in East Lansing on Oct. 23 against Michigan State before heading south on Oct. 27 to take on the Dayton Flyers.
The regular season for the Orange and Brown will open with a three-game homestand. The MAC-Sun Belt Challenge at Texas State on Nov. 3 will kick off the season followed by home games on Nov. 6 against Bethany College and Nov. 9 against Le Moyne. The first round game of the regular season will be on Nov. 15 with a trip to Davidson.
The final home game in the month of November will be on Nov. 19 for the Falcons, hosting William & Mary. November will conclude with the Fort Myers Tip-Off, pitting the Falcons against Bucknell on Nov. 24 and VMI on Nov. 26. The road stretch will finish up with Kansas State as the calendar flips to December on Dec. 1 before the Falcons return to the Stroh on Dec. 6 to host reigning WAC Champion Utah Valley followed the next day by Aquinas College on Dec. 7.
After a brief hiatus, BGSU will be back on the court on Dec. 16 to host Chicago State before conference play starts. From there, the Falcons will pause from the non-conference schedule to begin conference play, heading to take on Ohio in Athens on Dec. 20. The non-conference schedule will then conclude on Dec. 22 with BGSU hosting Siena Heights. The last non-conference game on the schedule will be the second leg of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge on Feb. 7 with the opponent to be announced later in the season.

MAC Schedule
For the first time since the 2020-21 season, play within the MAC will begin for the Falcons in the month of December with two conference contests during the 2025 portion of the 2025-26 campaign. Bowling Green will open their portion of the MAC schedule on the road, traveling to take on Ohio in Athens on Dec. 20. As for the conference home opener, the Falcons will play host to Miami (OH) on Dec. 30 inside the Stroh Center.
As the calendar flips to 2026, the Orange and Brown will return to the road for a pair of matchups. On Jan. 3, BGSU will head to UMass for the first time in program history to welcome the Minutemen to the MAC. The road trip will continue with a stop at Kent State on Jan. 6 before returning home on Jan. 10 to host Akron.
The Falcons will have a week between MAC games in early January, remaining at home over the break to host Eastern Michigan on Jan. 17. From there, it will be back on the road for another pair of games, first going to Western Michigan on Jan. 20 before taking on Toledo in the Battle of I-75 on Jan. 24 inside Savage Arena.
The home schedule will resume on Jan. 27 for the Orange and Brown, hosting Buffalo, before heading back on the road to Central Michigan on Jan. 31. The alternating home and away will continue by hosting Ball State on Feb. 3 before taking on the second leg of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge on Feb. 7 with the opponent to be announced later in the season.
After the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge, conference play will pick back up for the Falcons on Feb. 11 at NIU before coming home for a pair of home games. The home stretch will begin with the Battle of I-75 on Feb. 14 inside the Stroh Center before hosting Kent State on Feb. 17. From there, BGSU will head south to Miami (OH) on Feb. 21.
