BGSU To Host Faith and Family Night For 7 p.m. Tip Against Cardinals
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team will be back home in the Stroh Center Tuesday night (Feb. 3) to begin the February slate of games for the Falcons. BGSU will host the Ball State Cardinals for a 7 p.m. tip with the game being Faith and Family Night at the Stroh Center. Bowling Green and Ball State enter the game back-to-back in the standings with this being the lone regular season matchup between the two. The game will be available to stream on ESPN+ while Todd Walker will have the radio call on WFRO Eagle 99.Â
Opening Tip
Bowling Green and Ball State will be meeting for the 99th time in program history with BGSU leading the all-time series, 56-42. The Falcons hold the advantage when hosting the Cardinals with a record of 34-14, including wins in the last two meetings to take place at the Stroh Center. Bowling Green and Ball State are currently back-to-back in the MAC standings with the Falcons (4-6) holding a half-game lead over the Cardinals (3-6). This will be the only meeting between Bowling Green and Ball State this season, the first time the two have faced just once in a season since the 2017-18 campaign.Â

Parking Changes For 2025-26
Additional Limited Mobility Parking Now Available for All Home Basketball Games
To better accommodate fans and guests with limited mobility, additional designated parking spaces will now be available for all upcoming home Men's and Women's Basketball games at the Stroh Center.
Location:
Additional parking will be located on the north side of Lot 24, beginning with the first row of spaces adjacent to the grass area and including the next two rows directly behind it.Â
Fan Access:
Guests utilizing these spaces should enter through the Student Entrance, located on the north side of Lot 24. From there, fans may use the service elevator to access the main arena and seating areas.
Please Note:
Limited mobility parking will remain paid parking and will be clearly marked with signage indicating the designated spaces and new location.
Campbell Eyeing Scoring Milestones
Javontae Campbell is closing in on a couple scoring milestones for his collegiate career. Across his career at all levels, Campbell has totaled 1,972 points, now just 28 points shy of 2,000. As for his time in the Orange and Brown, Campbell has tallied 901 points, 99 shy of 1,000 for the Falcons. If he can reach 1,000 for BGSU he would be the first 1,000-point scorer for Bowling Green since Daeqwon Plowden ended his BGSU career with 1,618 points in 2022, eighth in program history. With nine games left in the regular season, Campbell would need to average 11.0 points per game for the mark, but postseason points would count towards the milestone as well.Â
Scouting The Cardinals
Ball State enters the game against Bowling Green with a 7-14 record on the season while being 3-6 within the MAC. The Cardinals began MAC play 0-5 before rattling off three straight wins, topping Ohio on Jan. 16, 76-71, Central Michigan on Jan. 20, 68-67, and Northern Illinois on Jan. 24, 58-53. The winning streak for the Cardinals closed on Saturday (Jan. 31) with a 73-55 loss to Toledo. Ball State is led by junior guard Armoni Zeigler, leading the team in points (13.2), rebounds (5.1) and assists (2.8) per game.
BGSU vs. Ball State, All-Time
Bowling Green and Ball State will be meeting for the 99th time in program history with BGSU leading the series with a record of 56-42. Bowling Green has won three of the last four meetings, including the last two inside the Stroh Center. Overall, the Falcons have a record of 34-14 when hosting the Cardinals all-time. In the most recent meeting, Javontae Campbell led the BGSU effort with 26 points, three assists, three steals and two rebounds, averaging 19.5 points per game against Ball State across two meetings last year.Â
Falcons On The Fast Break
This season, Bowling Green has been one of the best teams in the nation when getting out in transition. In the last game, the Falcons tallied 21 fast break points, increasing their season average to 18.7 fast break points per game to lead the MAC and rank sixth in the nation. The only teams ahead of BGSU in the category are Georgia (22.6), Arkansas (19.4), High Point (19.3), Saint Louis (19.0) and Northern Kentucky (18.9). The next MAC team on the list is Akron, sitting 23rd in the nation with an average of 15.4 points per game.
Shackelford Shining Off The Bench
Josiah Shackelford has been strong off the bench all season for the Falcons, but has increased his efforts over the last five games. During the five-game stretch, Shackelford is averaging 12.0 points per game, including a 17-point effort against Central Michigan. He added eight rebounds against CMU, his second time during the five-game stretch with eight boards, averaging 5.6 rebounds per game over the last five contests. Shackelford has averaged double-digit points all season with the mark hovering just north of 11.0 points per game for the last 10 games.Â
Glover On The Offensive Glass
Troy Glover II has been a key piece in the rebounding category for the Falcons this season and has worked his way up the MAC leaderboards for offensive rebounds. Glover has tallied five offensive rebounds in each of the last two games, bringing his season total to 2.4 offensive boards per game, ranking fifth in the MAC. However, he has increased that number in MAC play to 3.3 offensive rebounds per game, ranking second in the MAC behind only Central Michigan's Keenan Garner, averaging 3.6 per game.Â
