Tennis To Travel To Indianapolis For IUPUI Fall Invitational

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Bowling Green State University Tennis team will continue the 2023-24 season as they travel to Indianapolis for the Second Annual IUPUI Fall Invitational. The invitational will be held at the IUPUI Campus Tennis Courts starting Friday, Sept. 29 and concluding on Sunday, Oct. 1. First serve is at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Bowling Green opened the 2023-24 campaign when they hosted the BGSU Invitational (Friday, Sept. 15 – Sunday, Sept. 17). Two out of the four BGSU duo partners moved to the round of 16, Eloise Saraty and Ioanna Tsadari as well as Leticia Fonseca and Isabella Baker.
IUPUI Fall Invitational Information
The Falcons enter the weekend as one of two teams with experience this weekend. The IUPUI Fall Invitational will be a season opener for Butler and IUPUI, UIndy hosted the D2 ITA Midwest Regional Championship Sept. 16 through Sept. 18. Last season IUPUI finished 9-16, Butler 11-12, and UIndy 17-6.
Updates of the invitational will be posted on throughout the day on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook @IUPUIWTennis. Other related information of the tournament will use the #IUPUIinvite hashtag on socials.

"So far, we are off to great fall. We hosted 60 athletes at our home invitational two weekends ago. Last weekend we held a homecoming tennis event for alumni and friends of the program. Now we take our first road trip and head to Indianapolis. We will compete against Indianapolis, Butler, and host IUPUI. That first road trip typically helps the team gel and it's great for our new players to learn more about what is out there in the college tennis landscape. We are excited to have another great weekend of competition."

The Falcons will host Findlay and Bucknell on Friday, October 13 at Keefe Tennis courts. The matches will begin with Findlay at 9:30 a.m. and follow with Bucknell at 2 p.m.
