Jamie Baringer joined BGSU in July of 2010 as the Director of the BGSU Ice Arena. During Baringer's tenure as Director, the Ice Arena has successfully undergone four facility renovations which brought the Ice Arena back up to standards including new compressors, concrete slabs, new locker room, and in 2024 new mezzanine adding 100 premium level seats. In January 2016 was promoted to the Assistant Athletic Director of Arena Operation, in July of 2020, she was named Associate Athletics Director for Facility Operations. Jamie provides leadership and direction for all operations of the Slater Family Ice Arena and Stroh Center. She is responsible for developing and implementing operational policies, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and managing facility renovations.

Baringer came to BGSU after spending five years as the Lou and Gib Reese Ice Arena General Manager for the Newark Sports and Events Commission in Newark, Ohio. She began working in the ice industry 2001 with former BGSU Coach Jack Vivian as a facility manager for JRV Management.

Baringer currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Ice Sports Industry (ISI) as an At-Large Member of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Education and Certification Master Committee. Baringer is a lead instructor at ISI University, where she assists in planning and organizing seminars that continue to educate ice arena managers and staff. In November of 2015 Jamie became a Certified Arena Executive from the ISI University, highest distinction for Ice Arena Managers/Operators within the ice industry.

In 2023, Baringer earned her Educational Doctorate (Ed.D) in Leadership Studies; her dissertation topic was Perceived Crisis Readiness of Ice Arena Managers, Online Dissertation. Baringer received her Master's Degree in Education (M. Ed) with a Specialization in Sports Administration from Cleveland State University in 2006. Baringer earned her Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education/Sports Management from Baldwin-Wallace College (now University) in 1998. While at Baldwin-Wallace, Baringer was a four-year letter winner for the Women's Soccer team and helped lead the Yellow Jackets to an undefeated record and OAC title in 1994 en route to being named as BW's Co-Most Valuable Player, first-team All-OAC and Division III All-Mideast Region. Baringer was inducted into the B-W Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009.
