Hall of Fame Criteria - Bowling Green State University Athletics

Hall of Fame Eligibility Requirements

Special consideration will be given to nominees from the following groups who have exhibited the qualifications and characteristics listed below. Graduation from BGSU is not a requirement for nomination and committee review.

Student-Athletes

- Must have earned one varsity letter

- Must be ten (10) years removed from last date of competition for BGSU

Teams

- Must be ten (10) years removed from last date of competition for BGSU

- Must have made significant achievement (ie. Conference/National Championship) to honor and elevate the reputation and legacy of Bowling Green State University

Coach/Administrator

- Must have served minimum of five (5) years and be at minimum five (5) years removed from service at BGSU

- Coaches and/or administrators who are former student-athletes at BGSU will have their entire athletic record and total contribution to the University considered by the Committee.

Special Inductee

- Must have made consistent and significant contributions to BG Athletics

- Attending BGSU as a student is not a requirement

- Special consideration given to graduates who have contributed to BG Athletics (either through competition or employment) and have brought recognition to his/her alma mater through significant personal and/or professional achievements

- No more than one (1) Special Inductee may be elected in any given year by the Hall of Fame Induction Committee
