PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) recently announced the 2024-25 Scholar All-America Teams. Across the teams and divisions, over 2,700 swimmers and divers were recognized. Among those included Bowling Green's Evie Long and Elise Snyder. Long and Snyder were two of 20 student-athletes from the MAC honored with a total of five MAC institutions represented.
To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections, must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.
"Evie and Elise are strong students and incredibly talented divers," said BGSU head coach Tanner Barton. "Being named Scholar All-Americans highlight how our program equips student-athletes to achieve success in the classroom and in the pool."
During the 2024-25 campaign, Long appeared in eight meets for the Falcons, competing in the 1M and 3M dives. This is her second Second Team CSCAA Scholar All-America honor, after being named in 2024 as well. As for Snyder, she appeared in nine meets for BGSU, also competing in both the 1M and 3M dives. Snyder competed in the CSCAA National Invitational Championship this year as well. Similarly to Long, this is Snyder's second Second Team CSCAA Scholar All-America honor, earning her first in 2023.
