CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference office recently announced the complete list of Distinguished Scholar-Athletes for the 2020-21 academic year, and Bowling Green State University was well represented on that list.
BGSU's list of honorees includes ...
Recognition as a Distinguished Scholar-Athlete is given to student-athletes who have excelled both in athletics and academics. In order to earn the honor, a student-athlete must be named both Academic All-MAC for their performance in the classroom, and All-MAC for their performance in competition. They also must carry a minimum 3.50 grade point average. First year students, junior-college transfers and graduate transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible.
BGSU had the most honorees of any MAC school in women's cross country, women's indoor track & field and volleyball. The Falcons tied for the highest total of honorees in women's basketball and women's soccer.
