Falcons Wrap Up Play At Border Olympics

Falcons depart the south after playing in Texas this week
Laredo, Texas – The BGSU Men's Golf team wrapped up the final day of the Border Olympics, finishing in 14th place at a team score of +26. Trey Walker led the Falcons scoring at +2 for the tournament (66-72-80- 218) Walker finished T31 overall. The Falcons moved up the leaderboard on the final day of the competition.
Nick Hofland finished T53 with a total score of +7 (75-71-77- 223). Ward Kyle played as an individual and finished T63 with a score of +9 (76-69-80- 225). Rounding out the Falcons included Pablo Heredia Iglesias, who scored +12 and finished T73 (81-73-74- 228), Rodrigue Vie scoring +13 and finishing T77 (76 77-76- 229) and Noah Firestone scoring +14 and finishing T82 (81-75-74- 230).
Arkansas State won the tournament with a team score of -29, followed by Sam Houston State at -14 and UT-Rio Grande Valley, which finished with a team score of -11. Â

"It was a much different golf course today with the conditions - I thought we played our best team round of the tournament. We still need to improve around the greens to be ready for April, but have a few weeks to get to work."
