Volleyball Extends Win Streak to Six With 3-1 Victory

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – With a 3-1 (26-28, 25-19, 25-20, 25-20) comeback victory over Eastern Michigan (10-13, 2-5 MAC), the Bowling Green volleyball program (10-8, 6-1 MAC) extends its win streak to six.

- The Falcons are now on a six-match win streak, the longest since a seven-match win streak taking place from Sept. 9-17, 2016.
- Junior libero Kallie Seimet tallied a team-high of 33 digs against the Eagles, making it her sixth consecutive 30+ dig match of the season. A native of Oregon, Ohio, Seimet continues to lead the nation with 6.82 digs per set.
- Bowling Green had three players mark double-digit kills, in addition to four players earning double-digit digs over the course of the four sets.
- Sophomore Celena Kanagin led the Bowling Green squad with 15 kills against the Eagles, which ties her career-high mark (vs. Northern Illinois, Sept. 23 and vs. Seton Hall, Sept. 16). It is also the second consecutive double-digit kill match for the Spring Grove, Ill. native, while she hit a team-high of .371 on the night.
- With 48 assists and 18 digs, sophomore setter Isabelle Marciniak tallied her team-leading eighth double-double of the season.
- Two of the three Falcon aces came from sophomore Paulina Iacobelli, who now leads the team with 16 on the season. Iacobelli was also one of four Falcons to earn double-digit digs with 15 on the night.
- At the net, freshman Katie Kidwell continued to be a defensive force as she earned one solo block and seven block assists for 8.0 against the Eastern Michigan offense.
- The Falcons rebounded from a .102 hitting percentage in the opening set to mark a match-high of .263 in the second game. On the night, the Falcons combined for a .191 percentage on the attack.
- Bowling Green held the advantage in kills (59-51), hitting percentage (.191-.136), service aces (3-0), and total team blocks (11.0-10.0), while Eastern Michigan marked the advantage in digs (95-90).
- The pair of conference rivals battled through a total of 28 tie scores and 13 lead changes over the course of the night, including a game-high of 15 tie scores and seven lead changes in the opening set.

- The Falcons will remain at home for homecoming weekend, as they host Central Michigan on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m., and will look to extend its win streak to seven.
