Women's Golf Third After Day One of Falcon Invitational

The Bowling Green State University women's golf team carded an opening round score of 329 to sit in third-place at the 2009 Falcon Invitational. The opening day, which was to be 36 holes, got trimmed to just 18 holes of action due to poor weather conditions.
Speaking of those weather conditions, the six-team field played the entire morning in mid-40 temperatures and a near constant downpour.
Toledo leads the event with a score of 316. They are followed by Ohio (321), BGSU (329), Youngstown State (338), Oakland (347) and Detroit (349).
The top Falcon competitors were Megan Gormley and Megan Bader, both firing 81's on Tuesday morning. Gormley opened with a 42, but closed with a three-over, 39, on the back nine, while Bader opened strong with a 39, but finished with a 42. The pair currently sits in a tie for eighth-place.
Lauren Glew shot 83 (42-41), while her sister Marisa Glew shot 84 (41-43). The duo currently sits in a tie for 13th and 16th respectively.
Freshman Paula DiFrancesco rounded out the Falcon scoring, carding a 95 (49-46). DiFrancesco is tied for 35th.
Hannah Lambert, who competed as an individual, shot 93 (43-50). She is sitting in 34th with 18 holes of action remaining.
The final round will take place on Wednesday morning with teams taking off from holes No. 1 and 10, starting at 9:30 a.m.
