The Ziggys Return April 28

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Department of Athletics has announced that the second annual Ziggy Awards will take place April 28 beginning at 6:30 pm at the Stroh Center. Formerly known as Athletics Honors Night, The Ziggys took on a fresh feel and look in 2015. This is the marquee celebratory event for the Department of Athletics.
The Ziggys will feature all student-athletes and coaches from BGSU. Parents of award finalists are invited to accompany student-athletes for the dinner buffet and program on the floor level for $15 per ticket and Orange and Brown level Falcon Club members and higher ($500 donation) are invited to do the same at a cost of $20 per ticket or $250 for a table of ten. All Falcon Club members and family of student-athletes have the opportunity to be a part of the event through general bowl seating at no charge.
A buffet dinner will begin at 6:30 pm and the program starts at 7:15 pm.
Athletics Honors Night has been a yearly event for more than a decade with awards such as Senior Scholar-Athlete, Junior Scholar-Athlete, Distinguished Alumnus and Distinguished Service. More recently, the Falcon Medal of Honor and Athlete of the Year have been introduced. In 2015, more awards were added with a new and lively program, as well as the name change to "The Ziggys".
