Robertson, a native of Springfield, Ohio (Catholic Central), was involved in the scoring of all three of BGSU's goals last week. Robertson had a goal and an assist in the Falcons' 2-2 tie with Akron on Saturday night (Oct. 29), as BG remained in first place in the MAC with the result. He scored the first goal of the game, on a one-timer from 40 yards out after the UA goalkeeper had come out to knock a ball out of the box. Then, his cross into the penalty area resulted in the Falcons' second goal of the night, as freshman Chris Brennan headed Robertson's diagonal ball to senior Pat Flynn, who knocked it home at the far post (NOTE: A link to BGSU-Akron highlights can be found near the top of this page). The three-point game was the first of his career.
Robertson also had an assist on Joe Sullivan's goal vs. Fort Wayne in the Falcons' midweek match. He had a team-leading four shots vs. the Mastodons, and very nearly scored in the second half after a long run with the ball into the penalty area. Robertson added a pair of shots vs. the Zips, for a total of six shots – three on goal – in the two matches.
Robertson's four points on the week give him a total of five on the season and eight in his BG career.
The Falcons are 9-5-3 overall and 2-0-2 in MAC play, heading into the final match of the regular season. BGSU hosts Buffalo on Saturday night (Nov. 5), in a 7:00 p.m. start at Cochrane Stadium, and admission is free. With a win over UB, BG would clinch the MAC regular-season title and would host the MAC Tournament the following weekend.
