This spring season, the BGSU Athletic Communications office, along with both the men's and women's golf teams, will bring you a segment called "18 questions with" each week. This week's 18 questions are with junior golfer Joe Cooper.

1. What is your hometown?
Wayland, Massachusetts

2. What is your favorite movie?

3. What is the most played song now on your IPOD?

4. What do you like to do in your free time?
Hang with the Greenhouse Boys and Play NHL '14
5. Where is your favorite place to hang out at in BG?

The Golf House on East Court St.
6. If you could have any superpower, what would you choose?
The ability to Time Travel

7. When do you first start playing golf?
Â
I first started playing golf at the age of 4

8. Who got you started playing golf?
Â
My Dad and Grandfather both played huge parts in getting me into golf.

9. What has been your favorite course to play?
Playa Mujeres in Cancun (Mexico) is my favorite course to date.
10. What is the toughest place you have ever played at?
The University Course at Purdue

11. What is your routine or ritual prior to playing a round of golf?
Â
My routine before a round of golf is usually a light breakfast, stretching, and then I head to the driving range. On the range I start by hitting short wedges and move up to the longer clubs. At the end of the range session I hit a few shots that mimic the shot that I need to hit on the first tee.

12. What is the best advice you've ever received?
Best advice I have received is to stay in the present. In golf it is extremely important to stay in the moment and not get lost in what happened in the past or what might happen in the future.

13. Who is your favorite golfer?
Adam Scott

14. Why did you choose to attend BGSU?
Â
I loved the guys and coaches when I took my official visit. I felt like BG had the resources I needed to successfully continue my golf career.

16. What has been your favorite class at BGSU?
Finance 3000 with Ed White

17. What do you want to do after you graduate?

Be a professional golfer

18. What is your favorite golf memory at BGSU?

My favorite memory is last year winning the MAC Match-Play in Florida. All the boys played great and we really played well down the stretch to beat out Ball State in the finals by one match.
