18 Questions with Patricia Holt
February 12, 2014 | Women's Golf
This spring season, the BGSU Athletic Communications office, along with both the men's and women's golf teams, will bring you a segment called "18 questions with" each week. This week's 18 questions are with junior golfer Patricia Holt.
18 Questions with ….
1. What is your hometown?
   Frisco, Texas
Â
2. What is your favorite movie?        Â
      Â
Well that's hard, but I'll probably have to go with Lord of the Rings. Legolas might be my favorite movie character of all time.
Â
3. What is the most played song now on your IPOD?
Maiyu by Fenech-Soler
Â
4. What do you like to do in your free time?
Watch movies, read, write, listen to music, cook, work on whatever my current craft project is, shop!
Â
Â
5. Where is your favorite place to hang out at in BG?
Lola's Frozen Yogurt and Cookie Jar!
Â
Â
6. If you could have any superpower, what would you choose?
Be invisible
Â
7. When did you first start playing golf?
When I was 8 years old
Â
Â
8. Who got you started playing golf?
My dad—we would go to our country club every day (still do over the summers)
Â
Â
9. What has been your favorite course to play?
Rio Verde in Arizona—that whole tournament was just amazing
Â
10. What is the toughest place you have ever played at?
The Hawthornes (where MAC is this year…yay…)
Â
11. What is your routine or ritual prior to playing a round of golf?
I guess the closest thing to a routine I have is that I wake up super early to shower and fix my hair (which usually means I'm up before 6 am)—I feel gross if I don't and I'm convinced I play better if I'm clean. No way I'm playing good if I'm a tired wreck.
Â
Â
12. What is the best advice you've ever received?
Play the game you have that day; don't compare it to what it could/should be. Make it work!
Â
13. Who is your favorite golfer?
Ernie Els!
Â
14. Why did you choose to attend BGSU?
I chose BG because of how personal Coach was in her recruiting. She is different from most coaches in that way. When she came to watch me in a tournament, she saw every shot. She was there only for me. She really made me feel wanted and special (and still does).
Â
Â
15. What is your major of study?
Sport Management major, Journalism minor
Â
16. What has been your favorite class at BGSU?
Sport and Gender with Dr. Nancy Spencer
Â
17. What do you want to do after you graduate?
That's a good question…. There are so many things I want to do. It kind of changes every week.
Â
Â
18. What is your favorite golf memory at BGSU?
Getting to see Ernie Els play for the first time at the President's Cup with my team! And then we went to one of my favorite restaurants (BJ's) after, so it was a wonderful day.
