Owns the top BGSU mark in school history in the shot put at 50-02, set at the 2004 MAC Championships. She also ranks fifth all-time in the hammer throw with a mark of 160-09. 2004: Was one of five Falcons to earn the right to compete at the 2004 NCAA Regionals in Baton Rouge, La., where she placed 23rd in the shot put...named to the MAC Academic first team for the second straight year...posted a career-high 50-02 in the shot put in her final MAC meet of her career, where she placed third at the MAC Championships...she owned the top seven BGSU performances in the shot put, as well as the top five in the hammer throw this season. 2003: Named to MAC Academic first team...placed first at the Indoor MAC Championships in the shot put with a mark of 15.01 meters, a season best...also placed first at the BGSU Open in the shot put with a mark of 13.88 meters...placed first in the opening outdoor meet of the season in the shot put with a regional qualifying distance of 47-7.25. Placed 23rd at regionals in the shot put with a mark of 46-6. 2002: Named to the 2002 Indoor All-MAC Second team...provisional qualifier in the indoor shot put with a distance of 50'00 1/2 at the BGSU Invite and the outdoor shot with a mark of 49'5"at the Florida State Invite...had team's best distance in 2002 outdoor season in the shot put with a mark of 49'05 1/2"...finished first in the MAC standings with that mark. 2001:posted BG's best mark in the shot put in 2001 with a distance of 47-5 1/4. High School: One of the top high school shot putters in the country in 2000...two-time Indiana state champion in the shot put...finished runner-up at state twice as well...holds the Jay County High School record in the shot put with a throw of 47-3...earned four letters in track, three in basketball and two in golf for Jay County...graduated with a 3.9 GPA...also served as Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes president and was a member of Student Council Personal: Born February 5, 1982...an early childhood education major...daughter of Kit and Dana McClung. |
