Bowling Green State University Athletics
2015-16 Greek Challenge
BGSU Athletics is proud to announce the 2015-2016 Greek Challenge for the upcoming school year! This exciting partnership between Fraternity & Sorority Life and Intercollegiate Athletics allows for a unique and fun way for chapters to compete against each other throughout the year to identify the Greek Challenge Chapter of 2015-2016! This year-long challenge will feature a grand prize of up to $5,000 towards one chapter’s parlor fee within new Greek housing that will open in fall 2016, or for up to $1,200 transferred into a non-housed chapter’s OrgSync account administered by Campus Activities.
Â
Throughout the academic year, select BGSU Athletic home events will be designated as a Greek Challenge Events (Schedule Attached). For these events, be sure to claim your ticket using the new student ticketing website - more information on this will come from the Ticket Office by early next week. By scanning your ticket at each designated event, BGSU Athletics will track your attendance. The number of students from each organization will be counted, and chapters score points in two categories: 1) the total number of chapter members who attended the BGSU Athletics event, and 2) the overall percentage of chapter members who attended the BGSU Athletics event. These categories will be weighed equally for the challenge.Â
Â
In addition, each individual BGSU Athletics event will have a prize for the overall winner for that specific event e.g., interactions with members of an Athletics team, use of athletic facilities, free food, etc.). As indicated above, the grand prize for the year will be the chapter with the best participation / most points throughout the challenge receiving up to $5,000 towards its parlor fee within new Greek housing that will open in fall 2016, or for up to $1,200 transferred into a non-housed chapter’s OrgSync account administered by Campus Activities.
