2009: Led the pitching staff in games started (15), innings pitched (81.2), ERA (4.41) and strikeouts (80)…his 80 strikeouts tied for the conference lead in that category…lead the MAC in lowest opponent’s batting average (.240)…pitched 13 scoreless innings over two games versus Fairfield (4/7) and Sacred Heart (4/12) where he only allowed three hits and struck out 16 in that span...allowed only three runs and struck out 19 over 24 innings in games against Central Michigan (4/3), Ball State (4/11) and Kent State (4/17)…recorded a complete game against Kent State (4/17) in a two run, four strikeout performance against the Flashes…tallied double digit strikeouts twice in games against Sacred Heart and Ohio (5/1)…averaged 8.82 strikeouts per nine innings played...excelled against opposing lefties who hit a career-low .200 against him…won eight of his last 12 starts…in his last 13 starts, went 8-2 with three no-decisions as the team achieved an 11-2 record during that time…in his eight wins he sported a 2.05 ERA, allowed only 38 hits while striking out 54 batters in 57.0 innings…his numbers led him to be first in wins, opponent batting average and starts, tied for first in strikeouts, third in complete games and fourth in innings pitched among MAC hurlers.

2008: Appeared in 18 games making four starts...pitched three innings in relief in the first game of the season...started against Northeastern (3/3) on the spring trip going three innings...also started against Youngstown State (4/1) going two innings...went a season-best five innings in his other two starts against Tiffin (4/15) and Albion (4/22) getting the win in both games...got his other win in relief against Buffalo (5/10)...had his season-high of four strikeouts in the Albion start...beginning with the Albion game, in his six appearances between April 22 and May 10 he worked 11 innings allowing just six hits, no extra-base hits, and just two earned runs for a 1.64 ERA...five of those six games were MAC contests...did not allow an earned run in seven of his appearances and had at least one strikeout in all but four games...left-handers hit only .227 against him...made nine appearances working 13.1 innings in MAC play.

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letterwinner at Sandusky Perkins High School...named first team All-Sandusky Bay Conference, All-District and All-Ohio as a senior...had 27 wins in his three-year career, before losing his final start...his 27 consecutive wins rank second in OHSAA history, while his 0.21 ERA his junior season is tied for sixth in state history...was 9-1 his final year with a 1.80 ERA and two saves...was 11-0 as a junior with three saves and 91 strikeouts and 7-0 with a save as a sophomore...helped lead the Pirates to the state semifinals his senior season...a two-time first team All-SBC and All-District selection...was named honorable mention All-Ohio his junior year...also earned three letters in soccer.
