2008-09: Played in 35 games, the last 30 in succession...had single goals against Niagara (Oct. 11), Northern Michigan (Nov. 15) and Miami (Jan. 31)....had one assist in six games...his goal against Miami came on the power play...was even or better in 24 games with a best of +2 in the Nov. 29 Minnesota State game... second-lowest plus-minus rating (minus-4) on team for players appearing in 25 or more games… blocked 12 shots... had points in consecutive games for the first time in his career with assists in the Minnesota State (Nov. 29) and Notre Dame (Dec. 12) games.
2007-08: Dressed in eight games, finishing the season with 11 shots on net...tallied a helper on the game-winning goal of the first game he saw action in at Wayne State (Nov. 30)...finished with a plus or even rating in three games.
2006-07: Played in 12 games, scoring his lone point with a goal versus Alaska in a 6-4 win..., was also plus-1 in that game...finished the year minus-1.
Pre-College: Finished the 2005-06 season with 57 points (25g, 32a) in 54 games while playing for the Portage Terriers...that same season he was named team MVP...the previous season he helped lead the same team to a regular season championship as well as a Turnbull Cup Championship, scoring 32 points (8g, 24a) in 41 games...he also helped his team to the Anavet Cup Championship.
Personal: Full name - Josh Philip Boyd...was born April 27, 1986...has one sister (Melissa) and is the son of Don and Linda Boyd...his father was a goaltender at BGSU from 1971-74...is a 2004 graduate of Saunders Secondary School.
