BGSU Announces Promotions For Saturday’s Football Home Opener

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The BGSU Department of Athletics has announced its promotions ahead of Saturday's home-opening football game versus South Dakota at 6 p.m. at Doyt L. Perry Stadium. Below is a breakdown of the giveaways, events and activities that will take place throughout the game.
RESIDENCE LIFE CHALLENGE BEGINS!
* Throughout the school year, residence halls will be competing against each other by attending BGSU athletic events.* This semester-long challenge will award $2,500 to the winner.
* Saturday's football game is the first event on the calendar.
* Below is the entire schedule for the rest of the athletics calendar.
FRATERNITY & SORORITY LIFE CHALLENGE BEGINS!
* Much like the Residence Life Challenge, BGSU fraternity and sororities will be competing against each other to see which group can attend the most BGSU athletic events.
* This year-long challenge will award $5,000 to the winner.
* Saturday's football game is the first event on the calendar.
* Below is the entire schedule for the rest of the athletics calendar.
STUDENT PROMOTIONS FOR THE GAME
* Ziggy Point Event.
* First 1,000 BGSU students receive BG-branded eye black stickers.
* First 750 BGSU students receive a free tank top.
* One student could go home with $50 cash in the 50-50-50 cash giveaway.
* Select Falcon Fanatic members will win sideline passes and concession vouchers.
* Free-student tailgate area with free food.
FALCON MARCHING BAND
* Preflight with the Falcon Marching Band will take place 65 minutes before kickoff in the south side of the stadium.
* The halftime show will be "Panic At The Disco," as performed by the Falcon Marching Band.
KIDS!
* The kid zone opens up three and a half hours before kickoff in the same area as the Falcon Tailgate Park.
* Face painting will also be available in the kid zone.
FALCON CLUB
* Be sure to take part in the Falcon Club 50-50 giveaway.
