Five Women's Golfers Named WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Five Bowling Green women's golfers were named to Women's Collegiate Golf All-American Scholar honors for the 2016-17 campaign. Freshman Jessica Madry, senior Fran Rodriguez, sophomore Sarah Kern, sophomore Erin Fahey and junior Madelynn Swank all were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association award.
It marks the third consecutive recognition for Rodriguez and second for Fahey, while it is the first WGCA honor in Kern, Madry and Swank's careers. Fahey, Kern, Rodriguez, and Swank were also named Academic All-MAC for their performances as student-athletes in the 2016-17 campaign.
A total of 952 women's collegiate golfers were recognized to the WGCA honor, after meeting the minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA required for the 2016-17 season.
