Falcons Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, Six Falcons Earn Honorable Mention Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced their Scholar All-American's for the 2017 spring semester, with BGSU receiving the recognition for earning a 3.0 team GPA or higher during the course of the semester. The Falcons' Swimming & Diving program posted the highest team GPA (3.69) in the conference.

Additionally, six Falcons were named Honorable Mention Scholar All-Americans. Kristin Filby, Victoria Griffin, Talisa Lemke, Elodie Schreiber, Maya Skorupski and Claire Stam were honored by the CSCAA. The selections recognize students that have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective Swimming and Diving Championships.

On the team side, all eight of the MAC women's swimming and diving programs earned the distinction. However, Bowling Green led the conference with the highest grade point average. BGSU's 3.69 GPA is the fifth highest GPA out of the 172 Division I women's programs honored.

The CSCAA has selected 658 colleges and universities as Scholar All-America teams across Division I, II, and III for the 2017 spring semester.
