Women's Soccer Reveals 2017 Schedule

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – After posting the winningest season since 2008 last year by an overall record of 8-10-1, the Bowling Green women's soccer program will debut the 2017 season on Aug. 8 at home. In his first regular season at the helm of the program, Head Coach Matt Fannon and the Falcons will compete in a schedule consisting of a total of 18 matches, with eight appearances at Cochrane Stadium as well as 11 Mid-American Conference matches.

The Falcons will open the season with a pair of exhibition matchups, one at home against Xavier, followed by taking on West Virginia on the road. Bowling Green will then officially open the 2017 campaign on the road at Oakland on Friday, Aug. 18.
After a three-match road stint, the Falcons will return to Cochrane Stadium for a stellar home opener against Big Ten-foe Michigan State on Friday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m.
The Falcons will embark on a single road non-conference matchup at Detroit before kicking off a four-match home stretch, which will include the MAC season opener at home against Ball State on Friday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. After continuing MAC play at home with Miami on Sunday, Sept. 24, the Falcons will then travel for another three matches of MAC action.
Rounding out the home slate is a three-match stretch beginning on Sunday, Oct. 8 against Central Michigan through Senior Day on Sunday, Oct. 15 versus Akron. To conclude the regular season prior to the MAC Tournament, the Falcons will hit the road for three matches, ending with the Battle of I-75 at Toledo on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 3 p.m.
Last season, the Falcons 8-10-1 record included a 3-7-1 mark in conference action, and will return starting goalkeeper Kathleen Duwve as well as back-to-back team leading scorer Erica Hubert for the upcoming year.
