BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green women's golf team will round out the regular season with a pair of events this weekend. The Falcons will begin the weekend in a 2 p.m. tee time on Friday at the par-72, 5,995 yard Pine Hills Golf Club. The Spring Challenge Cup will be held at the par-72, 6,029 yard Lancaster Country Club and will mark the fifth match play challenge between the pair of conference rivals. Although Ohio claimed the Cup in 2010 by a 9-3 mark, and again in 2011 by a score of 10-2, the Falcons have come out on top since 2012. In Findlay, Ohio in 2012, Bowling Green won by an 8-2 margin before following it up with another victory in 2013 in Rio Verde, Ariz. by a 7-5 mark. Since then, the Falcons have had possession of the Cup and will look to bring it back to Bowling Green with another victory this weekend.

After competing individually in the Falcon Invitational, senior Fran Rodriguez will fill the number five spot in the Bowling Green lineup this week. A native of Flower Mound, Texas, Rodriguez excelled in the first round of play last week with a season-best mark of 73 after the first 18-holes of competition, ultimately finishing with a score of 161, +17. At the KZoo Classic in October, Rodriguez had posted her former season-low score of 77.
