Denny And Frye Named To All-MAC Teams

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced its men's basketball All-MAC teams on Monday (March 6) afternoon. Two members of the Bowling Green State University men's basketball team – senior Zack Denny and freshman Dylan Frye – earned league honors. Denny was named to the All-Defensive Team and to the Honorable Mention All-MAC Team, while Frye earned a spot on the All-Freshman Team.
Denny earned a spot on the All-MAC teams for the first time in his career. Denny is averaging a team-high 12.9 points and 2.0 steals, while also averaging 5.1 rebounds. The senior recently became the 44th player in program history to reach 1,000 points. Denny ranks inside the top 10 in career three-pointers (145) and career steals (155), and has scored 10-plus points a team-best 25 times in 2016-17.
Down the stretch, Frye has emerged as one of the most elite freshmen in the conference. For the season, he's averaging 9.0 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists. His 40.0 three-point percentage ranks 10th in the conference. Frye is also shooting 44.8 percent from the field for the season. The freshman has started the last 13 games for the Orange and Brown, and is the only BG freshman this millennium to have three 20-point scoring nights in the regular season of MAC play.
