BGSU signee enjoys successful senior season
Bowling Green State University women's basketball signee Madisen Parker recently completed a successful senior season at Homestead High School. Parker is one of five student-athletes who signed a National Letter of Intent in November of 2016.

Parker, as mentioned, recently completed a wildly successful senior season at Homestead H.S. in Fort Wayne, Ind. She scored 505 points, an average of 16.8 per game, in 2016-17, and also averaged 4.4 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game. Parker shot 47.1 percent (105-of-223) from three-point range and 87.1% from the free-throw line during her senior campaign.
In the process, Parker helped Homestead to a fourth consecutive conference title in 2016-17, and the Spartans also won sectional, regional and semi-state championships. Homestead capped off the season by winning the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) state championship in Class 4A, the first state title in program history.
Parker was an All-State First-Team selection, and was selected to the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Supreme 15 Team. Additionally, she was an IBCA Indiana All-Star and an all-league first-team selection. Parker also was named to the IBCA Academic All-State First Team, and was the recipient of the Patricia Roy Mental Attitude Award.
Parker scored 1,325 career points, and shot 44% from three-point land in her career. She helped Homestead to a 28-2 record in 2016-17 and a 103-10 mark during her four-year career. During that time, the school won four conference championships, four sectional titles, three regional crowns, two semi-state championships, earned a state runner-up finish in 2015 and, as mentioned, captured the state championship in 2017.
