Falcons Compete At Mountaineer Intercollegiate

Bridgeport, WV – BGSU Men's Golf will compete in it's third meet of the year at the Mountaineer Intercollegiate Invitational hosted by the University of West Virginia this Monday and Tuesday. The Falcons will take on 15 other teams at the Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, West Virginia.

15 other teams are competing in the Mountaineer Intercollegiate including non-conference competitors Davidson College, Eastern Kentucky, James Madison, Loyola-Maryland, Marshall, Robert Morris, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Towson, Utah, West Virginia, Winthrop and Youngstown State. MAC competitors include Ohio, and Akron.
The Falcons are set for an 8:30 AM shotgun start with two rounds on Monday, with the third and final round being played on Tuesday.
Head coach Kevin Farrell and the Bowling Green Falcons will open the two day meet with a lineup of Pablo Heredia Iglesias, Mitchell Kontak, Max Rispler, Rodrique Vie and Trey Walker. In the last meet, Inverness Intercollegiate hosted by Toledo, BG Freshman Rodrigue Vie led the Falcons finishing tied in 25th place along with teammate Pablo Heredia Iglesias. Bowling Green carded a 583, +15 after two rounds at Inverness and being rained out of the third round. The Falcons first meet, Wolf Run Intercollegiate ended with BG carding a 623, +57 overall for the weekend.
BG will conclude its 2017 fall season with three more meets including the Autotrader Collegiate Classic (Oct. 16-17), MTSU-Old Fort Intercollegiate (Oct. 30) and the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic (Nov 3-5).
