2016-17 Season Begins As Falcons Head To The Greater Cincinnati Invitational

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis team opens the 2016-17 season this weekend, heading to Mason, Ohio for the Greater Cincinnati Invitational hosted by Northern Kentucky University. The Falcons will begin play Friday, Sept. 16 and will conclude play Saturday, Sept. 17.
Stephanie Dalmacio begins her first season as head coach for the Orange and Brown after having served as the assistant coach for two years.
"The girls have been working very hard for the last two weeks and are ready to compete," Dalmacio said. "I can't wait to see them perform this weekend in Cincinnati!"
Dalmacio's nine-player roster includes two seniors, one junior, two sophomores and four freshmen. Seniors Antonina Farrar and Leeah Floyd, junior Emily Witt, sophomores Polina Radeva and Paula Comella (2016 MAC Freshman of the Year), and freshmen Megan Horn, Anna Kholodnaya, Ayumi Sasaki and Marharita-Sophia Tavpash.
This fall the Falcons will also compete at the Wright State Invite (Dayton, Ohio) Sept. 30 - Oct. 1, followed by the Purdue Invite (West Lafayette, Ind.) Oct. 7 - 10 and the ITA Midwest Regionals (East Lansing, Mich.) Oct. 20 – 25.
