Ronnie Moore Named To Biletnikoff Watch List

Tallahassee, Fla. – Bowling Green State University senior wide receiver Ronnie Moore has been named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club (TQC) Foundation, Inc. The Biletnikoff Award is presented to the outstanding receiver in college football.
Moore was named to both the Biletnikoff and Paul Hornung Watch List a year ago and went on to register 72 catches for 951 yards and six touchdowns. He caught at least one pass in every game last year and had a season-high nine receptions at Purdue. His best game came in a 7-catch, 151-yard performance at Kent State in which he had two touchdowns.
Since the day he stepped foot on campus as a true freshman, Moore has been an impact player. He caught 56 passes as a sophomore and 28 as a freshman, including making four catches for 145 yards and a touchdown in the 47-27 win over Northern Illinois in the MAC Championship. He ranks 16th all-time at BGSU in receiving yards with 2,188 and has an outside shot at the school record of 3,450 by Charles Sharon from 2002-05.
Moore's five career 100-yard receiving games are tied for 11th-most in program history and his 156 career receptions is currently tied for 12th at BGSU. He is also 12th in school history with 3,312 all-purpose yards, just over 1,200 yards shy of Sharon's school record 4,519.
The 2016 Biletnikoff Award winner will be presented his trophy before 550 patrons at the Biletnikoff Award Banquet at the University Center Club at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017.
The name Biletnikoff is synonymous with the term receiver. Fred Biletnikoff, a member of the pro and college football halls of fame, was an All-America receiver at Florida State University, and an All-Pro receiver for the Oakland Raiders. He caught 589 passes for 8,974 yards and 76 touchdowns in his 14-year Raiders career from 1965 through 1978. Fred was the Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XI. The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation (TQC), Inc., created the Biletnikoff Award in 1994.
Moore joins Austin Valdez (Bednarik Award for the nation's best defensive player as well as the Butkus Award for the nation's best linebacker), Joseph Davidson (Ray Guy Award for the nation's best punter) and Tim McAuliffe (Rimington Award for the best center in college football) among BGSU players on preseason award watch lists.
