Hockey Season Tickets Go On Sale Tuesday!
June 24, 2016 | Ice Hockey
Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University Ticket Office has announced that season tickets for the 2016-17 BGSU Hockey season will go on sale Tuesday. Bowling Green has won 45 games over the past two seasons and has advanced to the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) semifinals in each of the three seasons the Falcons have played in the league. Season ticket holders will have the opportunity to support the Falcons every step of the way and to contribute to the culture that makes Bowling Green unique.
"On behalf of Falcon Hockey, we encourage you to become season ticket holders," BGSU Head Coach Chris Bergeron said. "The 2016-17 schedule features old and new rivalries. Along with our competitive WCHA schedule, you will see both Ohio State and Western Michigan in the Ice Arena. The 'Madhouse on Mercer' has become a definite home ice advantage again. Join us on our journey to take Falcon Hockey to the next level."
Along with a 14-game Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) home slate, BGSU Hockey will host single games against rivals Ohio State and Western Michigan, as well as one contest against Atlantic Hockey's Mercyhurst. The Falcons will play host to RIT at the Huntington Center in Toledo Dec. 30 and will face Windsor in a home exhibition game Oct. 1. In total, season ticket holders will have a minimum of 19 opportunities to watch the team. In addition, WCHA First Round series tickets are INCLUDED if the Falcons should host, as they have in each of the past three years. Season ticket holders will also receive priority access to home WCHA semifinals and championship games, as well as NCAA Tournament tickets. Complimentary season ticket holder parking is available for all Falcon Club members as well.
Back by popular demand, the ticket exchange program is a unique opportunity for season ticket holders to make sure they never waste a ticket. Exchange your ticket for a game you are unable to attend for an extra ticket to another game (pending availability).
General admission tickets are just $169 and bench reserved tickets are $217. Faculty/staff/retirees can get bench reserved season tickets at the general admission price. Prime chairback season tickets are $313 and a $250 Falcon Club donation is also required.
For 2015-16 season ticket holders, renewals are underway with an Aug. 12 deadline to retain the same seat as last year. Special renewal giveaway prizes will begin July 1. The earlier fans renew their season tickets, the more drawings they will be entered in.
BGSU Hockey finished the 2015-16 season with a record of 22-14-6 and 16-7-5 in the WCHA. The Falcons ended third in the league standings and advanced to the WCHA semifinals for the third consecutive year. Bowling Green has posted back-to-back 20-win seasons for the first time in 20 years.
