Over the course of the past 50 years, BGSU Football has enjoyed great success. The Falcons have made 12 bowl appearances, won six MAC Championships and three more divisional titles. Much of that success can be owed to a tremendous home field advantage at Doyt L. Perry Stadium, where the Falcons have an all-time record of 166-87-6.Â
In 2016, we invite all BGSU family, friends and alumni to celebrate 50 Years of the Doyt with us! The first game ever played in the Doyt was a 13-0 victory over Dayton on Oct. 1, 1966 and Bowing Green Athletics will celebrate the anniversary when the Falcons host Eastern Michigan for Homecoming on the exact 50th anniversary of that inaugural contest.

"So many great players competed in Doyt Perry Stadium and so many great coaches walked the sidelines in 50 years," BGSU football coach Mike Jinks said. "We're privileged to be a part of the celebration. We can't wait to kick the season off Sept. 3 and then to honor our past in front of a packed stadium during Homecoming Oct. 1."
