Fifteen Falcons Named Academic All-MAC

Cleveland, Ohio – Fifteen members of the Bowling Green State University indoor track and field team were named Academic All-MAC, as announced by the Mid-American Conference today. The Falcons were tied for third-most in the league.
There were 156 student-athletes named Academic All-MAC across the 12 women's track and field programs. The qualify for the award, student-athletes must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and must have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that sport.
"We strive to be at the top in the conference in every possible category, including academics," BGSU head coach Lou Snelling said. "The team is working hard in the classroom, so it's great to see the favorable comparison to the rest of the MAC."
Senior Becca Rae has been named Academic All-MAC six times, while Andrea Alt, Allison Francis and Mackenzie McMillin have earned five Academic All-MAC nods. Jasmine Redman and Rebecca Schott have been named Academic All-MAC four times, while Gabrielle Edwards, Kera Lamotte, Jody Musser and Makenzie Wheat have now been named Academic All-MAC three times. Rachel Durbin and Elena Lancioni have received the award twice.
