#NSD16 Rewind: Signing Day Excitement Leads To Record Day For Athletics Ticket Office

The Bowling Green State University football program celebrated National Signing Day on Wednesday (Feb. 3) with the announcement that 20 new Falcons were joining the program. In conjunction with the National Signing Day festivities, season tickets for the 2016 season went on sale, and Falcon fans delivered with a record day of showing their commitment and making their pledge to the success of the Orange and Brown this upcoming season.

Season Ticket Sales Enjoy Record Day
The Bowling Green State University football program was busy locking up 20 pledges for the 2016 season on Wednesday morning, but the BGSU Ticket Office may have been even busier locking up commitments from you, the fans, for the upcoming 2016 season! More than 175 season ticket packages were sold on Wednesday alone, marking a record day! More season tickets were sold on Wednesday – National Signing Day – than were sold in the first six weeks of on sale last year.

ESPN3 Coverage Highlights National Signing Day Celebration
For the first time ever, the BGSU National Signing Day coverage was in the national spotlight on ESPN3. Falcon Athletics produced a live show for the national platform, complete with interviews with each of the assistant coaches talking about the 20 new commitments, highlights, and Coach Jinks' press conference. Record Numbers Gather At Stone Ridge For #NSD16 Celebration
After all of the faxes had been received from BGSU's 20 new members of the football program, Falcon fans – Falcon Club members, season tickets holders, and loyal supporters alike – gathered at Stone Ridge Golf Course with the football staff and athletic administration for a National Signing Day celebration. Record numbers turned out for the event, which featured a highlight video of the entire class along with a chance for fans to interact with the new coaching staff and ask Coach Jinks questions.
