Worrell, Feely Named Vito's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Vito's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's basketball player Rasheed Worrell and gymnast Lauren Feely.
Male Athlete of the Week
Rasheed Worrell, a redshirt freshman from Coker, Ala., posted double-digit points in each contest for the Falcons last week and led BGSU in rebounds in both road contests. In the road win at Western Michigan on Tuesday night, Worrell finished with 11 points and a career-high nine rebounds. He was 7-of-10 from the free throw line in the win, including free throws down the stretch late in the second half in the come-from-behind win. On Saturday, Worrell totaled 12 points, on 5-of-8 shooting overall, and pulled down a team-high seven rebounds. He also recorded a team-high three blocks in the road contest versus the Chippewas. Worrell averaged 11.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game over the Falcons' two road contests.

Female Athlete of the Week
Lauren Feely, a junior from Gurnee, Ill., placed second in all-around competition this weekend, helping her team set season-high scores on vault exercise and balance beam, as well as a season-high overall team score against No. 14 Denver. The junior scored a 9.800 or above on three of her four individual events, adding up to a 39.125 all-around score, crushing her previous best by 0.150. She also tied for second place on vault exercise with a 9.800, tied for third on uneven bars with a 9.850, placed seventh on floor exercise with a 9.800 and scored a 9.675 on balance beam. Feely's uneven bar score earned her a new personal best by 0.125.
