The game, part of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Challenge, was held at the KFC Yum! Center.
Sophomore Sydney Lambert led the way with 16 points, including a pair of three-pointers during BGSU's game-opening 10-0 run. Senior Abby Siefker had her second double-double of the young season with 11 points and 11 rebounds, and she added three assists, two steals and two blocked shots in just 20 minutes.

All 12 players on the active roster played between 12 and 21 minutes, with 11 of the 12 scoring at least three points and all 12 pulling down at least one rebound.
The Falcons shot a blistering 67 percent from the field in the opening quarter. BGSU led, 18-3 midway through the period before taking a 28-8 lead after 10 minutes. BG's point total was the team's highest in a quarter since the NCAA instituted the four-quarter format prior to the start of last season.
BG hit 10 field goals in that first quarter, while the Leopards made 14 shots from the field in the entire contest.
Lafayette's 42 points are the fewest allowed by BGSU since the Falcons held Ohio to just 39 on March 2, 2014. That 2013-14 team limited opponents to fewer than 40 points on three occasions.
The Falcons shot 37.7% from the floor for the game on Monday, while holding Lafayette to just a 24.1% success rate. LC committed 28 turnovers, including 20 in the first half as the Falcons led by a 39-19 score at the break.
BGSU made nine three-point field goals for the third consecutive game. Lambert went 4-of-6 from long distance, while freshman Caterrion Thompson hit a pair of shots from beyond the arc.
Senior Rachel Konieczki scored eight points, while Thompson had six and three Falcons -- senior Ashley Tunstall, sophomore Carly Santoro and freshman Andrea Cecil -- five apiece. Santoro had seven rebounds and Tunstall and Cecil five each.
Lambert opened the game's scoring with the first of her four three-pointers. Santoro, who assisted that Lambert bucket, then stole the ball and hit a contested layup in transition. Siefker posted up and scored inside, and Lambert dribbled around the arc and knocked down another triple try. Suddenly, it was a 10-0 game with just under three-and-a-half minutes elapsed.
Lafayette's Sarah Agnello hit a corner three to get her team on the board at the 6:03 mark, but BG made three free throws, Tunstall spotted Lambert for a three-ball and Lambert fired the ball ahead to Siefker for a transition layup. The Falcons had an 18-3 advantage with 4:19 left in the opening period.
The Leopards scored four-straight points, but Thompson hit classmate Clare Glowniak for a jumper, and Tunstall followed with four-straight points, including two free throws and a driving layup. Siefker drove the lane and banked home a short jumper, and Cecil stole the ball just over midcourt, took three dribbles and hit a pull-up jumper. BG's lead was 28-7 before LC's Olivia Gumbs split a pair of charity tosses with three seconds left in the period.
In the opening 10 minutes, the Leopards went just 2-of-13 from the floor and committed nine turnovers.
Anna Ptasinski's three-pointer opened the second-quarter scoring for Lafayette, but Lambert knocked down a shot from the top of the arc, and BG's lead never dropped below 20 points the rest of the evening.
Lambert followed that triple with a steal and jumper, and junior Rachel Myers split a pair of shots from the stripe. Sammy Stipa's three-point play stopped the Falcons' run, but Glowniak drew a double team, then kicked the ball to sophomore Maddie Cole for a right-side jumper and a 37-14 lead.
Ptasinski hit another three-pointer with just over a minute left in the half, but Konieczki faked a three-point try, got past her defender and hit a jumper. Stipa closed the first-half scoring with a bucket that cut the Falcons' lead to 39-19.
The Falcons began the third quarter by scoring the first eight points, removing any lingering doubt about the game's outcome. Lambert fed Santoro for a three-pointer, then hit a jumper of her own. Siefker rebounded a teammate's missed shot and kicked the ball to an open Cecil, who knocked down a shot from beyond the arc for a 47-19 BG lead.
Angela Ribarich scored four points in the span of just over a minute , but Siefker found Thompson for a corner three, then knocked down a pair of free throws.
In the final minute of the period, Konieczki unleashed a devastating crossover move, going past her fallen defender and hitting a layup that gave the Falcons a 56-27 lead. A late free throw by the Leopards made it a 28-point game after three quarters.
The Leopards began the fourth period by scoring the first seven points, with Ribarich hitting two jumpers and Agnello connecting from three-point range. The Falcons' lead was down to 21, but Santoro pounded the ball inside for a layup, and Siefker was fouled and split her charity tosses.
Ribarich scored six of the game's next eight points, with BG's only bucket during that time coming via a nifty jumper by Konieczki. The lead was down to 20, but BG would outscore the Leopards, 8-1, to close the game.
Konieczki had a hand in BG's final 10 points. She assisted junior Haley Puk, who drained a corner three from in front of the BG bench, and Konieczki then got herself to the line and hit both shots with 1:44 to go. After a Lafayette free throw, the senior point guard then spotted Thompson for another corner three that closed the game's scoring.
BGSU held a 51-39 rebounding advantage, and the Falcons had 11 steals in the win. Puk led the way with three of those steals, while Siefker and Cecil had two apiece.
Ribarich led the Leopards with 14 points off the bench, while Stipa had eight and Ptasinski and Agnello six apiece. Gumbs had a game-high 12 rebounds, but none of her teammates had more than four.
BGSUÂ will return to action on Sunday morning (Nov. 27), concluding play in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Challenge by taking on Saint Peter's. That game will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass.
