Seven Women's Soccer Players Awarded Academic All-MAC

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Bowling Green women's soccer team had seven student-athletes earn Academic All-Conference honors, as announced by the Mid-American Conference Thursday morning.
Seniors Alexa Cheripko and Melissa Needham, juniors Madison Schupbach and Rachel Winters, redshirt sophomore Jennifer Reyes, along with sophomores Morgan Abbitt and Alexis Fricke were seven of 124 women's soccer players to be named to the Academic All-MAC Team. Cheripko was also one of just 12 student-athletes on the list to record a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative FPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for their respective sport.
