Jinks Announces Addition Of Leonard Skattebo

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio—Head football coach Mike Jinks announced the addition of junior college transfer Leonard Skattebo today. Skattebo is a native of Sacramento, Calif. and previously attended Sacramento City College. He is expected to enroll at BGSU for the spring semester beginning next week and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
"We are excited to welcome Leonard to the Falcon football family," Jinks began. "He is a kid with high integrity and class and will be a strong addition to our football program. We are looking forward to having Leonard join us for the beginning of spring semester and to have him on the field for spring practice."
Skattebo had a strong season for the Panthers of Sacramento City College, as he led the team in rushing. Playing in nine games, Skattebo scored six touchdowns and averaged 5.0 yards per rush, totaling 486 yards. He also added 26 receptions for 191 yards and two touchdowns. In 2014 the 6-foot-1, 245-pound back ran for 243 yards and five TDs while adding 18 receptions for 170 yards and another score. Skattebo is the 14th-ranked running back in the junior college ranks according to 247sports.com.
