Bowling Green State University Athletics
Carey, Sinclair Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week
April 20, 2015 | Baseball, General, Women's Track and Field
Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. For the second consecutive week, the winners are baseball player Zac Carey and track and field sprinter Brittany Sinclair.

Male Athlete of the Week
Zac Carey, a freshman from London, Ohio, carried BGSU to a series win, pitching a complete game shutout in the Falcons' 1-0 walk-off win Saturday in the nightcap of a doubleheader against Western Michigan. Carey was efficient in the win, facing just 33 batters and throwing 103 pitches in his first career complete game shutout. He worked out of a bases loaded jam in the eighth, the only real threat against him in the contest.
Female Athlete of the Week
Brittany Sinclair, a redshirt senior from Lindenwold, N.J., broke the school record in the 400 hurdles and ran a new personal best in the 400 over the weekend at the Virginia Challenge. Sinclair ran 58.97 seconds in the 400 hurdles and is the only runner in the MAC to complete the event in under one minute, which she has now done twice. She also ran the 400 in 55.51 seconds, the third-fastest in the MAC this year.
