Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University volleyball team will continue the Falcons "Think Pink" initiative this weekend with its annual Dig Pink match, sponsored by Kroger, set for Saturday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. versus Eastern Michigan on Homecoming Weekend.
The volleyball team will sport pink warmups and pink breast cancer socks in support of the Dig for a Cure.
During that match Falcon fans can help the team Dig for a Cure by donating money for every dig that the Falcons record or by making a one-time donation which will go to local charities that help support the fight against breast cancer.
Fans can also get into the match for free of charge by showing their football game ticket from the Falcons home contest versus Akron at 3 p.m.
The first 500 fans will receive a pink Kroger rally towel. The first 100 students will also get free pizza.
Both the BGSU football team and the ice hockey programs held successful Pink games last weekend, while the BGSU swimming and diving team will be hosting their pink event on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Each pink event will include a moment of noise where we will encourage all fans to make as much noise as possible to show their support in the fight against breast cancer that unites us all. Fans are encouraged to wear to pink at these games to promote breast cancer awareness and research.
